How a plan's requests are counted: what one request is, how many a month each plan gives, how many run at once, and when the month starts again.
Nodecode itself is free, under the MIT license, and runs on your own provider key. A plan from nodecode.ai/pricing adds the hosted models, and what it gives you is counted in requests.
What one request is
One call to a model that the model accepts is one request: a chat completion or an image generation through https://api.nodecode.ai/v1. Nodecode makes one call each time it asks the model something, so one turn in which the agent runs a few evals and answers is a few requests.
Counts as one request:
- A chat completion the model answered, streamed or not.
- An image generation the model answered.
Costs nothing:
- Listing the models (
/v1/models). - A call refused because your requests at once are all busy.
- A call refused because the month's requests are used up.
- A call the model itself refused or failed, such as a prompt past its window.
The length of an answer does not change the count: a long streamed reply and a one-word reply are one request each. Tokens are shown under Usage but are not counted against the plan.
How many each plan gives
| Plan | Price | Requests a month | Requests at once |
|---|---|---|---|
| Founders | €30 a month, or €300 a year | 20,000 | 4 |
| Founders Plus | €90 a month, or €900 a year | 80,000 | 8 |
2 months free on yearly plan. Prices are in euros in the EU and in dollars elsewhere, the same figures. Every plan carries the same four models. Usage on your account cuts the month into four weeks of a quarter each to pace against; nothing stops at the end of a week.
Requests at once
A plan runs that many requests at the same time across all your machines and keys. One more waits for a free place, up to 30 seconds, and is then answered with 429 and "all of them are busy. Try again shortly." A refused call is not counted.
When the month starts again
The month starts on the day you subscribed and runs to the same day next month. A yearly plan is cut into twelve such months, each with the full allowance. Unused requests do not carry over.
When a month's requests are used up, a call is answered with 429, saying when the month resets. To go on before then, Refill on Billing buys the month again from today at the plan's price, and its count starts from zero. Refill is for monthly plans.
