The films on our front page are drawn in cells from other people’s footage and photographs. Here’s whose.
The Agent box
front pageThe nautilus is two pictures set together. The animal is a nautilus filmed off Fiji, from video S2 of Barord, Dooley, Dunstan, Ilano, Keister, Neumeister, Preuss, Schoepfer and Ward, “Comparative Population Assessments of Nautilus sp. in the Philippines, Australia, Fiji, and American Samoa Using Baited Remote Underwater Video Systems”, PLOS ONE 9(6): e100799, 2014, under CC BY 4.0. Its shell is a nautilus cut in half, photographed for Pexels. We cropped, recoloured and combined the two and redrew them in cells.
The orchid is from “Timelapse of Orchid Blooms Unfolding Gracefully” by 苏 醒 and the dandelions from “A dandelion seed on a black background” by ICYMI, both on Pexels. John McCarthy is from The Computer Chronicles, 1984, © Stewart Cheifet Productions.
